[BERITA UTAMA]
Roland Engan, presiden PKR Sarawak – BEBERAPA KAWASAN JAUH KINI BANJIR, DAN AKAN BERLAKU SEMULA JIKA HUJAN SEMASA HARI MENGUNDI
Tetapi banjir mungkin berulang jika hujan turun lagi semasa hari pengundian. Cuaca sangat tidak menentu
[TOP STORY]
Roland Engan, president of PKR Sarawak – SOME REMOTE AREAS ARE FLOOD NOW, AND WILL REOCCUR AGAIN IF RAINING DURING POLLING DAY
former EC deputy chairperson Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said in the media, that Never have schools that are used as polling centres gone underwater, or elections stopped due to the rainy season. and Political parties could oppose it, maybe because they are not yet ready, they want more time to campaign, and the ‘flood’ excuse is the most convenient.
Roland Engan comment that, the statement by former deputy chairman of election commission can’t be applied in the current situation. Because that is not or no proper comprehensive research done. In Sarawak there are schools located at the rivers bank along rejang and Baram rivers. The SPR working teams will be flown to polling centre and they done feel the impact.
This time round the youths age 18 above will go to vote, but most of them are working elsewhere. Should there be flood during poling day, they will stick up where the roads flood
If the settlements are flood, the voters also can’t go out to vote.
So with that Rolland urges Ismai Sabri to seek audience with the King for state emergency should the flood happen during polling day
Some remote areas the flood is seem subside and there are still minor flood in some areas. But flood may reocurr if it rains again during polling day. The weather is very unpredictable
