On the show today: Yet another longhouse fire tragedy, this time in Rumah Chat in Julau. There is no running water although the longhouse is not far from the main town and the nearest fire station is 71 kilometers away meaning when the service arrived after 1 hour 24 minutes the longhouse was razed to the ground. Frog Housing Minister Zuraida Kamarudin says PN has no plans to improve matters in Julau. We talk to the victims and to other native folk including two single mothers who have had to struggle with little help in bringing up their families. Puan Tija of Sungai Ilas Igan says she has found a living farming sago which provides food and income, which she says is better than oil palm. Kayas Anak Ibau says not enough is being done to support single mothers at state level so she is grateful for help from her local school..
