Iswardy Morni, Lawyer Activist cum Political Analysis
*Clearing the name of Najib and UMNO through the Royal Pardon*
Iswardy gave his views on UMNO's efforts to appeal for the release of Najib Razak through a royal pardon with the authority of the King. Iswardy thinks that in the latest political competition - UMNO is lagging far behind PH and PN. One way they think is right to restore UMNO's image is through the release of Najib Razak. With Najib's release, UMNO can campaign that Najib is clean of all wrongdoing and so are other UMNO leaders. Then confidence and support for UMNO will recover. According to Iswardy- UMNO leaders are still plagued by denial syndrome that Najib is innocent. Instead the court and the majority of Malaysians – convinced that Najib is guilty. Therefore. If Najib is released it will give a bad image to the government and judicial institutions. Applying for pardon is Najib's right, but Iswardy thinks it is too early to grant pardon to Najib. Because there are still many court cases that Najib will face in the near future. It would be fairer if the matter of pardoning Najib was thought about/requested after the completion of all the cases he faced.

*Bersih launched petition on Najib must not be pardoned*
Bersih launched petition on Najib must not be pardoned.
https://www.change.org/p/petisyen-kepada-kdymm-yang-di-pertuan-agong-najib-tidak-wajar-diampunkan
This petition was for DYMM Yang Dipertuan Agung as there is a certain party from UMNO wish that Najib be pardon by the King. After Federal Court decision for Najib to 12 years imprisonment and fined in the sum of RM240 millions in the case of SRC international was found guilty for missappropriate in the sum of RM42 millions. To us this is a serious. As a Prime Minister he has a responsibility to his task as not to corruption. He has not even come to one year yet to undergo imprisonment .
Bersih 2.0 launched this petition in Change.com so that people have chance to sign the petition

Nick Kelesau, Spokesperson for the Penan Keruan Organization
*Illegal logging continues rampant in Penan communities*
Nick informed RFS listeners about some developments related to illegal logging in the interior of Baram over the past 2 weeks.
GT Interhil Company is still logging illegally in Ba Abang Forest and Samling Logging Company is still continuing illegal logging in Ba Pakan. Opponents of illegal logging have not taken any action at this time because they do not want to cause tension. At Ba Pakan, The Samling company helped build a new site for the construction of a new Long house for the Zakaria Pada supporter group (a clan that supports illegal logging).
For the case of the fight for the position of village head in Ba Pakan and Ba Abang, both cases will be heard in the Adat/native court in the near future. Another recent case of illegal logging occurred in Long Maien. A Penghulu and a Pemanca from the area support logging in the area. All 3 cases of illegal logging occurred in the FMU Area, according to Nick Kelesau. Nick concluded that the entry of the logging company into the Penan area increased racial tension and caused strife among the residents of Long houses.

Dennis Along, head of information PKR Baram
*failed to change green IC to Blue IC, because different political stances with community leader*
Today Dennis brought some natives from Long Terawan Baram and Bario who still hold green IC, Request the intervention of Senator Abun Sui Anyit to bring this issue to the Parliament.
The green IC is only valid for 5 years, and continues thereafter. Need to apply to renew every five years, is not recognize as Malaysian nor Sarawakian. All kinds of help they don't deserve. It's even worse when their health matters are charged rm40 a time to take blood while CITIZENS only get rm1. And held in the ward between rm600 ~ rm1000.
Due to different political stances, unable to obtain the assistance of the communities leader to apply for official Malaysian. Hundreds or even thousands of people face this problem in Baram.
For anyone facing a similar problem, please contact the Yb Senator's office in Miri or the Baram Branch PkR office, or can contact Dennis Along directly to seek help.
