  • Mrs. Intai from Suai Niah

*Widow's Exclusion from Government Village Project Assistance*

Mrs Intai is calling out to RFS expressing her disappointment at being excluded from receiving any assistance from the village project by the government. This is because her late husband was actively involved with the PH during his lifetime. The village chief has taken away the right to receive assistance from the longhouse project, which is highly unfair.

Even though her husband has passed away, the resentment towards Mrs. Intai, who is now a widow, remains strong among the village chief. During the COVID season, she was not given any food or other aid, unlike other members of the community who received all the assistance.

Zunar (Zukiflee Anwar), Cartoonist and Executive Producer of Film – Anwar: The untold Story.

*The Anwar Ibrahim Story: Defying Adversity and Inspiring Change*

The film Anwar- The Untold Story is Zunar's personal account of the life story of Anwar Ibrahim (PMX) from 1991 to 1998. Anwar was then deputy prime minister and finance minister. Fired, beaten and humiliated. Anwar was tried and accused of being a prostitute. Stories related to Anwar are spread everywhere in the government's version. But with the opportunity to produce this film, I had the opportunity to tell the story of Anwar's life according to the version of the person who was persecuted by the government. In short, Anwar was fired for fighting and rejecting corruption. Anwar's film was made when Anwar Ibrahim had not yet become prime minister. So there are a lot of pressures and obstacles received by the production team. The probability of this film not being broadcast - if Anwar does not become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Zunar wants Malaysians to give Anwar Ibrahim two terms to restore the economy and put the country on the right track. Several Prime Ministers have previously practiced the principle of division and order so that the people are easy to control and they remain in power. However, since Anwar became Prime Minister, investors' confidence is increasing - the reason is because they believe Anwar and his administration are free from corruption. The film will be seen in cinemas nationwide on May 18, 2023.

    Dennis Along, Tering Community Association
*Samling is calling others thieves while they themselves invade indigenous lands*

Yesterday, Dennis Along, representing the Tering Community Association, attended the Miri High Court to show support for Save Rivers, who is being charged by Samling.

He stated that Samling is calling others thieves while they themselves invade indigenous lands, and they are pointing fingers at NGOs exposing this issue, claiming that the NGOs are in the wrong.

He mentioned that the indigenous communities are not against the development provided by the government, but what they want is development, not destruction. He emphasized that these companies profit billions by encroaching upon indigenous lands and forests, while the indigenous people themselves receive nothing. They endure terrible logging roads, polluted rivers, and a deteriorated forest environment in the interior.

Dennis Along expressed puzzlement over how the Sarawak government manages Sarawak and unfairly treats the indigenous communities in the interior. He stressed that anyone intending to enter the interior for logging or others activities, must obtain the consent of the indigenous people. He demanded that the government and companies abide by the rights of the indigenous people, just as citizens are expected to follow the law.

He mentioned that the government acts as both the rule-maker and the law-breaker

Amos Thien, Chairman of MUDA Sabah
*Musa Aman's Leadership bring Sabah as One of the Poorest States*
MUDA, a youth organization in Sabah, strongly opposes the conversion of MRSM Kota Kinabalu to MRSM Tan Sri Musa Aman. Despite Tan Sri Musa Aman's high level of respect from the people, MUDA argues that his tenure as Chief Minister did not lead to significant progress in infrastructure and the economy. In fact, they claim that eight out of ten districts in Sabah remain among the poorest in the state.

MUDA argues that praising Musa Aman would paint a misleading picture of his effectiveness in governing the state. With three terms as Chief Minister, the industrial sector in Sabah remains below 10 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with only 7.5 percent contribution, which is significantly low. The state heavily relies on tourism, and the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the economy due to the absence of tourists.

The consequences of Musa Aman's leadership for 15 years have led the youth in Sabah to bear the burden of his actions. Many young Sabahans struggle to find employment within the state and are forced to leave in search of job opportunities. MUDA argues that they have not witnessed significant positive contributions from Tan Sri Musa Aman.

In light of these reasons, MUDA advocates for the preservation of MRSM Kota Kinabalu, as it symbolizes the identity and aspirations of all Sabahans.

Roderick Wong, Senator of DAP Sarawak

*Controversial Remarks by Abdul Hadi Awang Spark Backlash and Threaten National Unity*

MP for Bukit Bendera, Syerleena Abdul Rashid and MP for Kepong, Lim Lip Eng joined DAP colleagues in filing a police report against the President of PAS, Abdul Hadi Awang, regarding his alleged racially-charged remarks.

Roderick expressed that Hadi Awang's inflammatory remarks have indeed sparked public backlash, and the stance of Sarawak DAP aligns with DAP Chairman Lim Guan Eng, believing that Hadi's repetitive involvement in ethnically-charged rhetoric is threatening national unity. Hadi Awang recently claimed that Malays have been deceived and manipulated due to negligence and ignorance, once again calling for Malay unity to ensure the redemption of the ethnic group. He further criticized certain Malays for collaborating with non-Muslims and non-Malays, whom he referred to as "the biggest plunderers.
