1. Allocation of RM700K for the street lighting project in Sibu. While the majority of residents in Belaga - the electricity generation area from Bakun and Murum are still in the dark. There is no harm in Sibu lighting up the road so that it is safer to walk at night. But why is it not also given a project to connect electricity to the villages downstream of the Bakun dam, which is now still in dark mode.
2. PMX announced that there will be no Aidilfitri celebrations at the prime minister's official residence in Putrajaya this year. It is a frugal measure.
3. GPS and the Premier of Sarawak misused public funds to favor their own political parties. This follows the appointment of 32 political secretaries who were chosen among GPS supporters as spies to the Sarawak premier. They are ordered to carry out political party duties but are paid with taxpayers' money. John Brian called for this abuse of power to stop immediately.

John Brian Anthony, Sarawak Political Analyst.
*GPS misusing public funds for partisan political purposes*
1 April 2024- a total of 20 political secretaries (new appointments) to Sarawak Premier Johari Openg took the oath and signed a secret letter as well as the presentation of the appointment letter. With the appointment, this means that the Premier of Sarawak has a total of 32 political secretaries. Their appointment is for 2 years and will end in April 2026. The salary of a political secretary is RM9000 per month not including allowances. This means that the salary for these 32 political secretaries alone reaches RM3.35 million a year. Why so many political secretaries? Whereas Malaysian prime minister Anwar Ibrahim only has 3 political secretaries. John thinks this is a waste of taxpayers' money and a misuse of public funds for partisan political purposes. All these political secretaries are those proposed by YB from the PBB, SUPP, PRS and PDP parties. According to John, public funds should not be used to pay the salaries of political officials. After all, this appointed political secretary is only on duty to launch YBYB's political tasks in certain areas. They sometimes intimidate those who dare to oppose the government. They also threaten village leaders who are not aligned with the government and sometimes they will act more aggressively with words and actions. In other words. They are spies of the Premier of Sarawak. The position of political secretary is a training phase for GPS to assess the potential of a person to be appointed as an election candidate. It is proven that many of them have become YB (representatives of the people) after taking up the position involved. John suggested that the appointment of many political secretaries be stopped and also stop the use of people's money to promote political parties.

Abun Sui, Senator of PKR Sarawak
*Call for Comprehensive Approach to Address Education Access for Stateless Children in Sarawak*
On March 23, Fadhlina informed Parliament that all stateless and undocumented children can enroll in any government or government-aided schools provided that one parent is a Malaysian and possesses a letter certifying the child's Malaysian parentage. She cited Circular No. 1/2009 as the document outlining procedures for admitting children without citizenship or documents to these schools.
Abun Sui emphasized the need for the Ministry of Education (MoE) to facilitate easier access to education for children in Sarawak facing citizenship documentation issues. He urged the ministry to address this matter comprehensively at all levels.
Abun highlighted Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek's commitment to enabling indigenous Sarawakian children without citizenship documents to attend school. He emphasized the importance of refining the circular pertaining to this issue to prevent further dropouts among these children.
Abun also called on the Ministry of Home Affairs, particularly the National Development Department (JPN), to urgently address the documentation challenges faced by stateless or undocumented children across Sarawak.
Expressing gratitude to the federal government for its responsiveness, Abun expressed hope for swift resolutions to enable these children to access education and obtain citizenship.

Y Kohila, ex-Manager of BNM
*Justice Prevails: Bank Negara Malaysia's Unjust Dismissal Decision Overturned*
The Kuala Lumpur High Court has declared the termination of 48-year-old Y Kohila from her position as a manager at Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) unlawful. The court ruled that BNM's internal inquiry was unfair, as Kohila was not given sufficient time or access to relevant documents to prepare her defense. Furthermore, her request for an external lawyer and witnesses to testify was denied, depriving her of the right to be heard.
The court has scheduled April 29 to determine the amount of damages, including special, general, exemplary, and aggravated damages.
Kohila expressed her relief at the court's decision, recalling the embarrassment she felt when escorted out of BNM's premises. She described the ruling as a victory for workers' rights and a reminder that employers cannot arbitrarily dismiss employees or infringe on their constitutional rights.
Currently practicing as a lawyer, Kohila initiated legal action against BNM after her termination, challenging the allegations of misconduct related to her political activities. BNM had issued her a show cause letter in May 2017, citing her support for PSM and attendance at party-organized events as reasons for disciplinary action. Despite her appeal and subsequent lawsuit, BNM maintained that her actions violated employee conduct policies. Kohila, however, maintains that she did not breach any rules.
