Anwar visits Sarawak to discuss about MA63 with Sarawak and Sabah gov, results are positive
PMX DSAI came to Sarawak on the 19th and 20th to discuss MA63 with the Sarawak government. The Essence of the MA63 Action Council in Kuching Sarawak Today Chaired by YAB PMX.
1. Gas power has been handed over to the State.
2. Electric Power handed over to Sabah Sarawak starting 1 Jan 2024.
3. The status of the 3 regions that make up Malaysia, namely the federation of Malaya, Sabah and Sarawak, should be agreed upon.
4. The power to approve projects over RM50 million in Sabah and Sarawak will be given if the power to approve projects under RM50 million runs smoothly with good governance.
5. Land given to the federation that is not used must be returned to Sabah and Sarawak. 3 months period to make a report on this matter.
6. The PM appoints a representative of the Sarawak government in the LHDN.
7. Initial approval of RM1 Billion for the provision of CIQ, road infrastructure etc., as well as for the provision of security (police and army) at the national border (Sabah, Sarawak and Kalimantan). The work will be done immediately.
8. Special provision 112(d). RM300 million to Sarawak and RM260 million to Sabah per year. But it fluctuates and the formula will be made. May be increased in the future based on the financial capacity of the federation.
After the establishment of unity government, DSAI indeed used two months to let relevant units go through the various situations of MA63. Now after the negotiations between the prime minister and Sarawak and Sabah government, we believe there will be good results in a short time.
