Iswardy percaya pilihan raya umum ada berada pada tahun ini kerana tahun depan ekonomi akan menjadi lebih teruk. Keluhan masyarakat semakin memuncak, dan jika kerajaan mahu menenangkan rakyat, ia perlu diadakan dalam tahun ini.
Kalau dulu presiden UMNO akan berbincang calon dengan Majlis Tertinggi. Tetapi sekarang ahmad zahid adalah pengerusi dan walaupun kita rasa ia perlu dibincangkan dengan perdana Menteri ismail, tetapi juga ditahukan dia hanya cop getah yang dilantik oleh muhyiddin. UMNO-BN dalam dilema.
PH boleh menarik sokongan rakyat ketika ini, dengan bagaimana menangani isu inflasi. Terdapat dua kunci di sini, satu ialah sama ada harga boleh dikawal, dan satu lagi ialah sama ada pendapatan boleh dinaikkan untuk menghadapi kenaikan harga.
Sekarang adalah masa yang kita mengawal masa depan, adakah kita masih mahu dipimpin oleh kerajaan yang tidak boleh mengendalikan apa-apa? Bukan kerajaan sekarang tidak faham apa masalahnya, tetapi cara mereka menanganinya ialah melindungi diri sendiri terlebih dahulu dan mengabaikan rakyat. Lihat sahaja subsidi ayam, ini bukan kebajikan rakyat, tetapi untuk kroni.

Iswardy believe there will be elections this year because next year the economy will be even worse. Public grievances are running high, and if the government wants to appease the people, it should be held within this year.
According to past, the president of UMNO will discuss candidates with the Supreme Council. But now ahmad zahid is the chairman and although we think it should be discussed with the current prime minister ismail, but we know he just rubber stamp that appointed by muhyiddin.
UMNO-BN in dilemma. PH can attract people's support at this time, is how to deal with issue inflation. There are two keys here, one is whether prices can be controlled, and the other is whether incomes can be raised to cope with rising prices.
