  • [BERITA UTAMA]

    [TOP STORY]

Abdul Razak observing the actions of the Selangor state government, he is not convinced that the PH/PKR government is capable of championing environmental issues. Almost all 56 members of the Selangor state legislative assembly did not speak up when there was a robbery against the Selangor state forest reserve. Therefore - he is not convinced that PH ruling with the power of a unity government will be able to protect Malaysia's environment.

The reason is that PM Anwar needs political support from GPS in Sarawak and likewise GRS in Sabah. It is quite difficult for Anwar to stop the state government from directly stopping logging activities. However, PH in the manifesto mentions that the state government that curbs logging will be paid 1 billion ringgit every year. Abdul Razak hopes that this manifesto will be implemented.
