    Pushpan menegaskan walau apa juga kecekapan dan kemahiran dan kelayakan yang ada pada Nurul Izzah sehingga membolehkan beliau dilantik ke jawatan Penasihat Kanan kewangan dan ekonomi kepada perdana Menteri. Kesan buruk lantikan itu ialah memberi persepsi buruk kepada pentadbiran perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim. Pushpan berharap agar perdana Menteri mencari cara lain untuk Nurul Izzah dapat membantu dan menyumbangkan kepakaran beliau. Tidak semestinya memasukkan Nurul Izzah dalam pentadbiran beliau. Izzah boleh buat banyak kerja dan sumbang idea secara tidak rasmi. Selain itu Transparency International Malaysia menyatakan bahawa perlantikan Izzah ditafsirkan sebagai amalan kronisme dan nepotisme dalam pentadbiran PM . Walau cuba ditepis dengan pelbagai hujah.
