A Complainer revealed the bad working condition in Semalajau that related to taib and political cronies
RFS received a complaint from a father - telling that his son who works with Press Metal - Samalaju/Bintulu Sarawak, as a technician lives in a residence (provided by the employer) which is not satisfactory.
The living quarters are made of iron boxes, poorly ventilated and very hot. He sympathizes with the plight of subordinate workers like his son. But he admitted that high-paid workers were given better housing. In relation to working hours, only one day off is given in a week and there are workers who work 4 consecutive night shifts, from 7pm to 7am.
This must be a violation of the Sarawak labor ordinance.
Asked why the Sarawak Manpower Department did not conduct a surprise inspection and take action against Press Metal. He replied that it is not possible to take action against Press Metal, because it is related to Taib and Sarawak's political cronies. He thinks that PMX Anwar Ibrahim has not been able to take drastic corrective action in Sarawak since GPS is still strong and Anwar needs support from GPS to continue as Prime Minister. Because he can't stand the pressure of work. His son has quit his job with Press Metal.

Call for Government Focus on Pepper Prices Amid Challenging Cocoa Market Conditions
Fadillah Yusof, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and Minister of Plantation and Commodities, has announced that the federal government is willing to assist Sarawak in obtaining more land for cocoa plantation projects. While Sarawak was initially allocated only 10 hectares of land for cocoa cultivation this year, Fadillah emphasized that the support and assistance provided to cocoa growers in the state are not limited to land allocation. He expressed the government's willingness to cooperate with the Sarawak government to expand the area of new cocoa plantations.
Pn Agnes from Selangau disagrees with the proposal for cocoa planting as stated because she categorizes her own experience of planting cocoa trees, which did not yield any results and instead caused significant losses due to pest attacks and low market prices, which were very detrimental.
She said that the government should focus more on the prices of pepper, palm oil, and rubber because these three crops are seen as weakening and their prices are low in the market. She urged for assistance to be provided to small-scale farmers who are increasingly suffering losses in their various crops, as the market prices for cocoa, pepper, rubber, and palm oil are very concerning.

Controversial Flagpole Project: Public Funds Misused or Symbolic Importance Ignored
Flagpole erected in the cost of 30mils
This issue has been a hot topic in coffee shop. My friends and myself always wondering, what is so important or good about that flagpole. We are in the opinion that project is a waste of public funds although they said that project is funded by certain company. Will the company really want to finance it without other intentions
The project is still a govt project. That 30mils is better to spend it on other good purposes. There are areas that still lack of infrustrure especially in the interior. Why are we so proud to have that flagpole that serves no purpose. We have so many poor peoples that really need help in term of finance. That 30 millions if we share with everyone where we have 30 millions population. We can have a million each
