    > Zuraida Kamaruddin has been ordered by the High Court to pay RM10 million to PKR for breaching a binding party bond. The court ruled that the bond was valid and Zuraida's claim in the suit was an afterthought. The judgment stated that Zuraida herself had acknowledged that the party had spent over RM10 million on her candidacy during the election, which she cannot retract.

    > Rosmah Mansor is seeking to postpone the July hearing of her appeal to overturn her corruption conviction as well as a 10-year jail sentence and RM970 million fine linked to the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid energy project. Her legal team sought the postponement pending the disposal of a related appeal at the Federal Court.

    > Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil today lambasted the parties behind an edited headline of a news item posted on Facebook that later went viral. He said the original headline, “Jangan guna jentera kerajaan kempen untuk parti politik – Fahmi” (Do not use government machinery to campaign for political parties - Fahmi), used by a Malay daily has been edited with the additional words, “Kami guna takpe” (But we can) by certain quarters.

Yb Chew Choon Man, PKR MP for Miri

*Zuraida is a traitor, Must pay 10 million ringgit*

Chew Choon Man was among the panel of lawyers who sued Zuraida (Former Ampang/PKR MP). During the "Sheraton Move", 11 PKR MPs left the party causing the ruling PH government to be overthrown. One of those 11 is Zuraida.

During the trial in court, Zuraida's legal team argued that the 10 million claim was too high and extreme.

However, PKR's lawyers argued that the damage faced by PKR was priceless. PKR has built the party's reputation over 20 years. PKR gave a place and a logo for Zuraida to compete. PKR supplies the election machinery, provides funds and full support. Therefore the claim of 10 million is too small. the loss against PKR is priceless. There are Malaysians who consider the PKR party to be the party that betrayed the people's mandate because of Zuraida and her friends' act of party jumping. Because of Zuraidah's actions, the administration of a kingdom collapsed.

In court, Zuraidah argued that she won because of her reputation, but GE15 proved that with the lack of support from PKR, she lost so badly that she lost her betting money. According to Choon Man, he and PKR's lawyers have been instructed to hunt down the remaining 10 traitorous frogs. On Friday 23 June 2023. The high court ordered Zuraida to pay RM10 million to PKR for violating the terms of the bond binding her to PKR.

Residents of Kampung Long Biak, Belaga

*Illegal Logging happened in Long Biak, Belaga*

    Complaints about illegal logging.

A villager from Long Biak who did not want to reveal his name told RFS that a logging company entered the village area to log. This logging company uses a very cunning strategy to mislead the villagers. A log road was built a few months ago. But it was decided after the company brought all the heavy equipment into the logging camp. After the tree felling work is completed, the road is resumed and the process of unloading logs to be transported to Bintulu. But yesterday this activity was detected by the residents of Long Biak. They have detained and confiscated the logging camp and asked for consultation. Who is the owner of this logging license is still unknown. However, from unofficial information, the residents believe it is owned by Limbang Maju Jaya Logging Company and their subcontractor KD (don't know the real name, only KD's name is written on their log truck.)

The residents protested and asked to be paid compensation. Negotiations are still ongoing. According to the residents, the next target area is believed to be the reservoir center and source of water supply for the residents - because there are still many high-quality logs in the area involved. The complainant was worried that the situation would become tense, as some residents were carrying chopsticks. But he hopes this matter will be resolved well.

    Solomon Gau from Ulu Baram

*We want roads link to City, not only within Village*

The state government will build 5,000 kilometres of roads to link remote and unconnected longhouses throughout the state by 2030, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah said. He said the state Ministry of Infrastructure and Port Development is in the final process of identifying these longhouses and villages that are presently not connected by roads.

Solomon is no stranger to the repetitive promises made by the GPS government. He expresses his frustration that interior residents have been waiting for roads for decades, constantly hearing about plans for road construction and access to water and electricity, only to receive empty promises every time. Solomon points out that the government emphasizes that the 5,000 kilometers of roads are intended for villages without existing road connections, implying that road construction is limited to within the villages themselves. This means that the roads built are restricted to the village areas, and the routes from the villages to the towns remain as logging roads, not included in the government's intended construction plans. He questions the usefulness of such road construction. Solomon explains that while it is beneficial for the roads from the villages to the road junctions to be built, the logging roads from the junctions to the towns remain unchanged. These roads become slippery during the rainy season and covered in sandy layers during the dry season. Solomon states that inland residents have to spend significant amounts on transportation expenses or fuel costs when traveling to and from the towns. Moreover, transporting harvested crops to the towns becomes expensive due to the winding nature of the logging roads, resulting in increased costs for agricultural produce. He urges the GPS government to provide a comprehensive road construction plan instead of hastily building roads within the villages in an attempt to meet the demands of interior residents.

Jeffrery Ngui, chairman of MUDA Sarawak

*Sarawak's Development Lag Attributed to State Government Neglect*

In a Facebook post, an activist lawyer expressed her opinion on Borneo, specifically Sabah and Sarawak. The post has gone viral with 5000-7000 shares. What is interesting about her post is that she stated if she had to work in Sarawak or Sabah, she would resign within 24 hours. She expressed that Sarawak is not a good place to work or live in. There are important points regarding the development lag since the formation of Malaysia, which we agree upon. However, that does not justify belittling the people of Sabah and Sarawak. Sarawak has long contributed to the economic development of the country through resources such as natural gas and petroleum. The diversity of race, religion, and background in Sarawak is a significant pillar for community harmony. In her closing lines, she mentioned that even after 60 years, Sabah and Sarawak are still left behind. Many Borneo people are forced to leave due to the lack of good job opportunities and quality livelihoods. She also stated that many government agencies are not staffed by local people, which she attributes to a lack of quality. As a lawyer and activist, it is unclear why she made these statements without further context or explanation.
