*GPS need STOP announcing projects without master plan*

At the closing of the Gawai Dayak festival in Sepauh Betong last week. Sarawak Deputy Premier Unggah Embas announced the allocation of RM60 million to develop Sepauh. John thinks it's time to stop the practice of announcing allocations but no details, what projects will be implemented. Such an act is only to attract attention. When Alfred Jabu was still the Deputy Premier of Sarawak. Jamu once announced that it will build a university in Betong and build an agricultural research and development station in Betong. But until the end of Jabu's political life. What Jabu said did not happen.

John asked the people not to be deceived by promises/announcements that are not accompanied by a master plan. John thinks the majority of Sarawak politicians are not efficient at work, they have crony contractors and most of the projects are in ALIBABA right (get contacts but don't implement, only ask for commissions from contractors). This is the reason why Sarawak remains poor.

John suggested that all Divisions in Sarawak should have a master plan to guide development. Not just according to what YB said.

*If Taib is healthy just show up*

Astana Negeri Sarawak, the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak, has filed a police report regarding the spread of fake news about the health of Governor Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud. The report was lodged by Peter Sibon, the Press Secretary to the Governor, at the Gita Police Station. Peter stated that he trusts the authorities to investigate the matter and put an end to the dissemination of false information. The fake news included claims that the Governor was unwell, sick, or even deceased. The origin of the fake news remains unknown, and the police will be responsible for determining its source through an investigation. The Governor's private secretary, Junih Salleh Ahmad, previously issued a statement affirming that Abdul Taib is in good health and dismissing all rumors regarding his well-being as entirely false and unverified.

In response to this, Chris expresses confusion and wonders why the Governor doesn't appear in public to prove his good health instead of filing a police report and requesting an investigation into the fake news.

Chris notes that Taib Mahmud is already of advanced age and that this is not the first time rumors of his critical condition have circulated. In the past, Taib would appear in public to demonstrate his good health when faced with such health-related rumors. However, this time, he has not made a public appearance following the spread of the news.

Chris acknowledges that the authorities have the right to report cases related to false information, but the people also have the right to be informed about Taib's health. After all, Taib has been in power of the Sarawak politics for many years, possesses multiple large corporations, and has significant political influence. If his health is a cause for concern, it could potentially worry the people of Sarawak regarding its impact on political dynamics and the direction of the corporations under his control.

    Mazerol Way, PKR Youth Leader

*Include Orang Asli history in school syllabus*

Pertaining to include Orang Asli history in national education syllabus. One of the reasons that we can see there discrimination compare to other races is very high. The main stream community are not aware the existence of Orang Asli communities. For example in Johore, there are Malay community said they are not aware and never been mentioned the existence of Orang Asli. So this cause cultural shock to main stream community. And such will cause negative impact towards the Orang Asli. And they feel being left behind being a Malaysian.

The students and as well as youths feel down hearted. This is why the history of the Orang Asli must be included in the education syllabus. The Orang Asli aslo part of the independent struggled.

We can see the gap in education among the Orang Asli is far way left behind compare to other main stream communities. The main reason is the young people refuse to go to school due to discrimination they faced. Not only by among the students but also among the teachers play a role. We acknowledge that our self determination is low.

He urges that we as a Malaysians living in multi racial should respect each and every races.

In 60 yrs of independence we can see that there is no political will from any parties to ensure that the indigenous peoples' rights are taken care of. We also don't see this unity govt to up lifting the rights of the indigenous peoples
