    Romuald Siew, President of Tahabas

*Political Disharmony in Sarawak: BN's Invitation for GPS to Campaign in Six States may have Hidden Motive?*

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has expressed his hope that leaders from GPS will assist coalition members during the upcoming state elections in Peninsular Malaysia. Ahmad Zahid, who is also the chairman of BN, has proposed inviting GPS leaders to share their experiences of political stability in Sarawak during the campaign period. He believes that the political stability in Sarawak can provide valuable lessons for the election machinery in the six states. While Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof previously stated that GPS would not directly participate in the state elections outside of Sarawak, Ahmad Zahid still hopes for their support.

Mr. Romuald Siew stated that there are hidden motives behind the Deputy Prime Minister's call to the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to assist in the State Election Campaign (PRN) in six states in Peninsular Malaysia. The statement that this action aims to emulate political stability in Sarawak is untrue because Pakatan Harapan (PH) is still the opposition, and opposition members of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (Adun) have not been provided with allocations by the GPS government to develop their constituencies. This indicates a lack of political harmony in Sarawak and is perceived as biased. UMNO and GPS have been together for a long time, so it is certain that there are hidden political agendas that are not good behind this.

Richard Engan community activist from Mulu

*PMX Must Take Resolute Action Against Corruption, Including Government Officials*

Malaysia's Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister, Tiong King Sing, personally intervened to assist an employee of a China-based media company who was denied entry by immigration officers at KLIA. The woman, a personal assistant to a senior official of a Chinese government-owned TV station, alleged that she was asked to pay a significant amount of money to be allowed entry, despite having valid travel documents. Tiong contacted the MACC and visited KLIA with their officers to investigate the matter. The immigration officers claimed there was a language barrier and it was a misunderstanding. The women's mobile phones were also seized by the immigration officers. The personal assistant was eventually allowed to enter the country after Tiong's intervention. This incident was not the first time Tiong had intervened in such matters. An investigation has been initiated regarding allegations that the minister caused a commotion at KLIA.

Richard praised the brave actions of the Minister of Tourism, arts and culture - Tiong king sing, who exposed the corruption that took place among the KLIA immigration staff. He wanted Tiong's allegations to be investigated in detail. But Richard was surprised by Anwar Ibrahim's PMX comments as reported by Malaysiakini today. "PM: It is inappropriate to give the impression that there is damage in immigration. According to Anwar, the majority of officers at KLIA carry out their duties well and only a small number are still with the old practices."

According to Richard, PMX should support Tiong's statement and should even be more assertive. Asked whether PMX's action was because of fear of losing support from civil servants in the elections in 6 states? According to Richard, if PMX is still doubtful and hesitant to take firm action against public officials who are involved in corruption, this will cause the reform agenda to be delayed.

Richard suggested that all Ministers take strict action against those who practice excessive bureaucracy (in all government agencies) with the aim of receiving bribes/bribery. According to Richard, a firm and trustworthy leader will get the support of the voters.

Alan Ling see Kiong, Sarawak PH Secretary

*Sarawak PH leader backs Tiong over KLIA incident*

Alan praised Tiong's actions as brave and well-intentioned. Tiong wants to find the real cause of the problem related to the entry of foreigners into Malaysia. According to Alan, the Government should admit that there is indeed a problem that so many foreigners enter Malaysia and millions of foreigners do not leave Malaysia. Perhaps what we know now is only a small part of the real problem. Alan praised PMX for being willing to go into the field and see and hear for himself the problems facing the immigration department. Although PMX states that only a small part may be involved in old practices (corruption), but according to Alan- this small amount will damage the whole system if not curbed.
