    1. Drag the Sarawak government to court if it interferes in the appointment of Tuai rumah/kampung head. It has been a tradition for hundreds of years that the residents of any longhouse in Sarawak appoint their own village head. Now the committee to appoint tribal leaders at the District Office has taken over the task. This is how GPS weakens the power of the village head/household and further weakens the power of the people.

    2. The promise of the Parabena company and the Sarawak government to provide relocation scheme houses for the traditional villagers of Tukau Jaya - is false. All are not provided. Even residents who refuse to move and refuse to vacate their homes get a summons from the Parabena company - James said.

    3. Special Treatment for Najib Razak. Wan Ji wan Husin, who was recently released from Kajang prison, revealed that he had seen Najib several times. Najib is said to get a special match in prison, he doesn't even have to wear a prisoner's clothes. The interior minister and prison director quickly denied this. They insist that Najib is treated the same as 70 thousand other prisoners. Do you believe? We know that less than a day after Najib was put in jail, he was immediately referred to Ceras Rehabilitation Hospital. He was given the code name "Merpati Putih". Najib is a prisoner and a criminal he should be given the code name black crow. To prove that the Ministry of Interior and the prison department are telling the truth - show a photo of Najib in a prisoner's uniform. Since Najib was imprisoned. There is no photo of him dressed as a prisoner.

Voon Lee Shan, President of Bumi Kenyalang Party (PBK).

*Restoring Indigenous Rights: Challenging GPS Control Over Tribal Leader Appointments*

Voon thinks that the GPS/Sarawak Government should be dragged to court for interfering in the appointment of tribal leaders and local community leaders.

Speaking to RFS, Voon stressed that the matter of appointing tribal leaders and community leaders in Sarawak has been customary since generations. Even the federal Constitution recognizes custom as part of the law and has the force of law. For a long time the village community appointed the most skilled individuals to lead them. Until now it was taken over by the Sarawak government through the appointment committee of tribal leaders and community leaders at the District Office/Resident Office level. This committee is also composed of YB/local people's representatives. There are also local communities that choose their own leaders. But if not approved by GPS/Government then they will not be given salary or letter of appointment.

Voon suggested that this matter needs to be overhauled and return the right to appoint the head of the tribe/village to the hands of the village community itself. If there is a case of obstruction, appoint by the community by GPS. So please drag GPS/Sarawak government to court.

In addition, what is the relationship between the appointment of the head of the tribe/village and the rights of the NCR? According to Voon, only the head of the village or the head of the house can and knows how to identify NCR land rights in a village, therefore only they can confirm and authorize ownership. Unfortunately when the head of the village/household is appointed by the GPS. So it is GPS that has the power to nullify the Dayak people's rights to NCR land. This is a very unfortunate episode for the Dayak people and it should be dealt with immediately. - Voon Lee Shan said.

Mr. James from Kampung Traditional Tukau Jaya

*Failed Commitment: Parabena and Sarawak Government Summon Villagers Despite Unfulfilled Promise*

James and the villagers have received a Summons from the Court and Parabena for refusing to vacate the area within the vicinity of Parabena Limited (PL) land.

Mr. James is still striving to fight for fair compensation for the losses they have faced regarding their farms and homes.

The villagers do not have strong financial resources to continue the court proceedings with legal representation, but Mr. James will have to fight alone so that his land can be removed from the company's PL.

Mr. James questions the promises made by Parabena and the Land and Survey Department regarding the Resettlement Scheme that was promised. However, he is very disappointed because the Resettlement Scheme is not real and is just an empty promise.

Therefore, Mr. James realizes that it is highly likely that agencies such as the Land and Survey Department have received bribes from Parabena in order to successfully evict the villagers from their traditional village of Usahaya.

Michael Kong Feng Nian, Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth Kuching chief

*DAP Pushes for Enhanced Healthcare and Social Welfare Systems*

The Democratic Action Party (DAP) emphasizes the importance for the government to consider expanding medical assistance, as it directly impacts the quality of life and health of the people. Medical aid not only reduces the financial burden on patients and families but also ensures that everyone has access to necessary healthcare. In particular, in the face of major illnesses like cancer, medical aid can provide essential treatment and care to help individuals through difficult times.

Michael Kong, special assistant to DAP's Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen, stated that the party recognizes the importance of strengthening the country's healthcare and social welfare systems. It is crucial to enhance these systems to ensure direct and tangible benefits for the people. DAP is committed to exploring avenues for expanding medical assistance through collaborations with ministries and government departments such as the Ministry of Health and the Social Security Organisation (Socso).

The statement was issued after Kong provided financial assistance to a local man named Phang, whose wife is battling stage 4 colon cancer. The impact of chemotherapy on her health has been heartbreaking, forcing Mr. Phang to be constantly by her side, unable to work regularly. As a result, the family now relies on the support of friends and relatives to make ends meet.

The exorbitant costs associated with medical treatments highlight the urgent need for Malaysia to overhaul its healthcare and social welfare systems. Kong expressed that by advocating for systemic improvements, they aim to alleviate the financial strain on families and provide greater support to all Malaysians facing healthcare challenges.

The government should recognize the importance of expanding medical assistance and take proactive measures to ensure that everyone has access to necessary healthcare. This will help establish a healthier nation.

Baru Bian, Assemblyman of Bakelalan Sarawak cum PSB Secretary-General

*Citizenship Bill Amendments and Lack of Consultation Criticized*

Baru Bian commenting on Advocated for Non-Discrimination and Access to Knowledge (ANAK) Founder and Executive Director Mary Ann's statement that representatives of Sabah and Sarawak were not consulted on the amendment to the Citizenship Bill, Ann cites that there are five regressive amendments that take away rights enshrined in the Federal Constitution, which is a backward step and will put children at risk of statelessness.

Baru said that, as he is no longer in Parliament, he is not entirely sure, but usually, ministers do not give space for discussion but rather prepare the bill and then circulate it in Parliament. Only when such an important bill is raised do NGOs, representatives, or the public voice their concerns.

His comment is that if indeed Section 19B and (1e) have been removed, which is a good move, but with two more issues: reducing the maximum age for a person from 21 down to 18 years is quite a short period to apply for citizenship, which is a disadvantage for the applicant. In Section 1A part 2 of the Federal Constitution, permanent resident (PR) status has been removed and replaced by citizen by operation of law. This is also a disadvantage for those applying for PR.

    1. Jofree Jaraee- Protest and Boycott KK Mart is ok but acts of violence are extreme. Protest and Boycott KK Mart because of the offense of selling socks with the word Allah is sufficient. After all, the court action was done by the authorities.

    2. Activists from Sabah and Sarawak urged Akmal Saleh- the UMNO youth leader who ignited the allah socks issue should be banned from entering Sarawak. Because it has the potential to disrupt national unity. This is according to the head of publicity for the Sarawak People's Aspiration Association (SAPA) - Peter John Jaban. The ban also includes 4 other preachers, namely- Mohd Riduan Tee Abdullah, Firdaus Wong, Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu and Syakir Nasoha.

    3. Najib's main lawyer - Mohammad Shafie Abdullah claims there is an addendum (supplement) to the king's order/through the pardon board that gives permission for Najib to spend the remainder of his 6-year sentence at home. However, Interior Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail denied having any information about the addendum. What I have is a letter of application from Najib to spend the remainder of his sentence at home. Shafie revealed that his side has critical witnesses who will testify to support the judicial review submitted on April 1, 2024.

    4. Najib has not repented, on the contrary, he has become increasingly arrogant - the punishment handed down to Najib due to abuse of power, and money laundering in the SRC case did not make Najib repent. The partial pardon given made Najib even more arrogant. Najib argued he was a victim. While he was the prime minister (at the time of the 1MDB scandal) - the most powerful person in Malaysia. Do you believe Najib is a victim? If Najib is the victim. Najib is the stupidest prime minister in the world. We think about it.

*Legal Battle for NCR Land: Belawai Residents Stand Firm Against Halal Hub Development*

Roland Engan in the framework of 1 day to the Belawai District in the Tajong Manis Parliamentary constituency. He attended at the invitation of the residents of 3 long houses, namely Rh. Crouching, Rh. Francis and Rh. Datu.

These three longhouses were affected due to the acquisition of NCR land for the development of Halal Hub in Tanjong Manis. Residents demand that their land be removed from being used as a Halal Hub site and if forced to use it, they must be paid a fair price. All conflicting parties can face each other in a dialogue that reaches an agreement.

The developers - Tanjong Manis Food Industris and GP Pusaka Sdn. Bhd - agreed to pay damages/compensation to the residents whose land was affected if the residents were able to prove their ownership rights over the developed land. Residents are grateful that the land leveling process has not yet been implemented. This gives them a great opportunity to prove their temuda, gardens and crops that are on the land. The residents were represented by Lawyer Roland Engan while GP Pusaka Sdn.Bhd was represented by Lawyer George Lo.

Roland hopes that residents who are facing NCR land problems to contact him early so that the proof will be easier to do. Roland expects this case to side with the residents of the 3 longhouses he represents

*Maintaining Peace Amidst Unrest: Sarawak's PAS Response to KK Mart Attacks*

On March 13, 2024 - went viral on social media - the issue of socks with the word allah on them were sold at KK Mart Bandar Sunway Selangor. On March 26, 2024, a molotov cocktail attack occurred in front of KK Mart Bidor Perak. On 30 March there was another attack at KK Mart Kuantan Pahang and on 1 April 2024 there was an unexpected attack. A molotov cocktail explosion at KK Mart Jalan Satok- Kuching.

Jofre strongly condemned the attack and the attack on KK Mart in Kuching was very unexpected. According to Jofre, the issue of socks with the word Allah is hot in the peninsula, but the situation in Sarawak is peaceful and calm. The people of Sarawak are very tolerant.

But I expect that there are parties who take advantage of this issue to launch violence in order to create chaos in our country. I hope all parties remain calm and let the authorities investigate and take action. Protests by a few parties are allowed, boycotts are also allowed but don't lead to violence - Said Jofri Jaraee.

*1MDB Scandal: PetroSaudi Directors' Trial Begins in Switzerland*

Two directors of the company PetroSaudi, Tarek Obaid and Patrick Mahony, are facing trial in Switzerland for allegedly defrauding Malaysia's 1MDB fund of $1.83 billion. The trial began with the directors challenging the case against them, with their lawyers citing bias and demanding certain judges be recused. Obaid's lawyers also requested the proceedings be held in secret due to safety concerns, as he claims to be in fear of his life while purportedly taking refuge in Saudi Arabia. The court rejected most of these challenges, conceding only to keep certain private matters secret. The public prosecutors criticized these maneuvers as delaying tactics. The indictment alleges that Obaid and Mahony enriched themselves through kickbacks and fraudulent transactions, including the purchase of drill ships with 1MDB cash. The indictment outlines a series of fraudulent schemes and cover-ups involving fake loans and restructuring exercises to conceal the theft from 1MDB. The trial is expected to last the whole of April.

*Bumpy Roads: Challenges Beyond the Marudi Bridge*

The Marudi Bridge project is currently 27% away from completion. Pekerjaan Piasau Konkerit (PPK) Sdn Bhd took over the project, which began in 2010 and was originally scheduled for completion by January 2022. However, following the termination of the previous contractor, the completion date was revised to June 2025 by JKR. An engineer from JKR Miri Division reported that the project is currently 73.43% completed in a briefing to the director.

Mr. Linggang reported to RFS regarding the development of the Marudi Bridge which is still under construction. According to Mr. Linggang, the completion of the Marudi Bridge will indeed benefit the people so they do not have to rely on the ferry.

However, the problem is not yet resolved even when the bridge is completed. This is because the plantation road used is very dangerous for the people. The road is narrow and often causes vehicles to easily have accidents. The small, hilly, and winding road has caused several incidents and fatalities. This is the downside when the Sarawak government has given their cronies in the plantation company PL, and finally the people have to face danger every time they pass through it. Mr. Linggang said, before giving land plantation companies to farm, it is better to focus on building roads for the people first in a more orderly development plan. Prioritize the people and do not prioritize cronies' interests.

    1. Sarawak state assembly meeting from 6 to 15 May 2024. The meeting will be officiated by the new TYT Tun Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

    2. Najib claimed the royal pardon granted to him allowed him to serve the remainder of his 6-year sentence at home. Naib made the allegation in a judicial review application filed in the high court on April 1, 2024. In his application - Najib asked the court to order the home minister, the attorney general, the pardon board, the federal government and several respondents to confirm the matter.

    3. The case of Sesilia Putri and Wendy Dara in Sarawak is an illustration of the exploitation of foreign labor due to weak law enforcement, corruption and greed of employers/employment agencies.

    4. RM3.9 billion contract - supplying and managing the Malaysian government vehicle fleet. The Spanco boss pleaded not guilty to defrauding the MOF. He asked to be heard. Spanco has obtained this contract since 1993 to 2019. But Spanco lost to BERJAYA Group and Naza Sdn.Bhd in the tender scramble. After Muhyiddin Yassin became prime minister in 2020. The tender was handed back to Spanco. Is there corruption and abuse of power? Let the court prove it.

    ---------------------

Andrian Pereira, Executive Director of the North South initiative

*Improving the Rights and Protection of Foreign Workers in Malaysia*

For more than 30 years, Malaysia has depended on foreign labor to meet its workforce needs. In 30 years, Malaysia should have been able to produce a complete, orderly system and comprehensive labor-related laws.

However, the disclosure of the report by the committee related to migrant labor (report issued in 2023) - through the study conducted in 2018-2019 shows that there are still many weaknesses and confusion by some parties.

What happened to Siselia Putri and Wendy Dara is a common case because these foreign workers do not clearly know the right method to come to work in Malaysia and coupled with the greedy attitude of the employment agencies and fake employers and the widespread symptoms of corruption.

The main cause of this problem is incorrect information obtained in the country of origin. Most of the migrant workers who use the services of employment agencies are poorly educated. Some are unable to confirm whether the information obtained is correct or not. There are also those who do not know about the need for work permits, passports, work contracts and human rights. Thus when meeting with greedy employment agencies and fake employers who want to get rich quickly, then there were cases of persecution of migrant workers.

The movement of migrant labor from the country of origin with incomplete documents will cause cases of human smuggling and cases of human trafficking. When arriving in the country where they are supposed to work and be paid the wages as promised. With the weaknesses mentioned earlier they will be exploited easily, although Malaysia has a Private Employment Agency Act, but monitoring and enforcement by the government is very low.

Andrian advised foreign workers who want to work in this country or even Malaysian workers who want to work abroad to check the list of valid employment agencies in their respective embassies and to clearly know the labor rights and human rights in the country they are going to.

*A Decade-Long Struggle: Securing a MyKad for an Indigenous Child*

Julaihie from Lawas shared his joy with RFS after more than 10 years of applying for Mykad for his child, who has been without identification documents until the age of 14. His child had to drop out of school after Year 6 because they couldn't enter secondary school due to lack of identification documents. During school, his child, Mohammed, felt ashamed and inferior for being considered a foreigner despite being indigenous.

During primary school, Julaihie had to pay high fees every year because of their non-citizen status. Julaihie was assisted by Agnes Padan, a social activist, in the struggle to obtain an IC, which was successful under the MADANI government.

After his child, now 14 years old, successfully obtained an IC, Julaihie will report his child's school admission after this year's Hari Raya, which had been postponed for 2 years.

*Protecting Peace: Sarawak's Message Amidst KK Mart Violence*

In a recent development, the society of Sarawak has issued a strong condemnation against the recent wave of violent attacks targeting KK Marts nationwide. The incident about a third Molotov cocktail attack on a KK Mart, this time at an outlet along Jalan Satok in Kuching, Sarawak, on Sunday.

The Sarawak Information chief, Norashikin Baidawi, also expressed firm opposition to these acts of violence, stressing that they have no place in society and must not be tolerated.

She specifically addressed a recent attack on a local KK Mart in Kuching, stating, "The safety and security of businesses and individuals in our community must be upheld and protected at all costs."

Emphasizing the values of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect that underpin their community, Baidawi reiterated MUDA Sarawak's rejection of violence in any form. She called for swift justice for those responsible for these reprehensible act

In a plea for calm and restraint, Baidawi urged the community to refrain from resorting to violence or vigilantism. Instead, she called for unity and peaceful conflict resolution. "As Sarawakians, let us uphold our values of unity, compassion, solidarity, and a commitment to building a better future for all," she concluded.

    1. Allocation of RM700K for the street lighting project in Sibu. While the majority of residents in Belaga - the electricity generation area from Bakun and Murum are still in the dark. There is no harm in Sibu lighting up the road so that it is safer to walk at night. But why is it not also given a project to connect electricity to the villages downstream of the Bakun dam, which is now still in dark mode.

    2. PMX announced that there will be no Aidilfitri celebrations at the prime minister's official residence in Putrajaya this year. It is a frugal measure.

    3. GPS and the Premier of Sarawak misused public funds to favor their own political parties. This follows the appointment of 32 political secretaries who were chosen among GPS supporters as spies to the Sarawak premier. They are ordered to carry out political party duties but are paid with taxpayers' money. John Brian called for this abuse of power to stop immediately.

At this point Najib is the prime minister, Minister of Finance and chairman of the 1MDB advisory board.

John Brian Anthony, Sarawak Political Analyst.

*GPS misusing public funds for partisan political purposes*

1 April 2024- a total of 20 political secretaries (new appointments) to Sarawak Premier Johari Openg took the oath and signed a secret letter as well as the presentation of the appointment letter. With the appointment, this means that the Premier of Sarawak has a total of 32 political secretaries. Their appointment is for 2 years and will end in April 2026. The salary of a political secretary is RM9000 per month not including allowances. This means that the salary for these 32 political secretaries alone reaches RM3.35 million a year. Why so many political secretaries? Whereas Malaysian prime minister Anwar Ibrahim only has 3 political secretaries. John thinks this is a waste of taxpayers' money and a misuse of public funds for partisan political purposes. All these political secretaries are those proposed by YB from the PBB, SUPP, PRS and PDP parties. According to John, public funds should not be used to pay the salaries of political officials. After all, this appointed political secretary is only on duty to launch YBYB's political tasks in certain areas. They sometimes intimidate those who dare to oppose the government. They also threaten village leaders who are not aligned with the government and sometimes they will act more aggressively with words and actions. In other words. They are spies of the Premier of Sarawak. The position of political secretary is a training phase for GPS to assess the potential of a person to be appointed as an election candidate. It is proven that many of them have become YB (representatives of the people) after taking up the position involved. John suggested that the appointment of many political secretaries be stopped and also stop the use of people's money to promote political parties.

    ------------------

Abun Sui, Senator of PKR Sarawak

*Call for Comprehensive Approach to Address Education Access for Stateless Children in Sarawak*

On March 23, Fadhlina informed Parliament that all stateless and undocumented children can enroll in any government or government-aided schools provided that one parent is a Malaysian and possesses a letter certifying the child's Malaysian parentage. She cited Circular No. 1/2009 as the document outlining procedures for admitting children without citizenship or documents to these schools.

Abun Sui emphasized the need for the Ministry of Education (MoE) to facilitate easier access to education for children in Sarawak facing citizenship documentation issues. He urged the ministry to address this matter comprehensively at all levels.

Abun highlighted Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek's commitment to enabling indigenous Sarawakian children without citizenship documents to attend school. He emphasized the importance of refining the circular pertaining to this issue to prevent further dropouts among these children.

Abun also called on the Ministry of Home Affairs, particularly the National Development Department (JPN), to urgently address the documentation challenges faced by stateless or undocumented children across Sarawak.

Expressing gratitude to the federal government for its responsiveness, Abun expressed hope for swift resolutions to enable these children to access education and obtain citizenship.

    ------------------

    Y Kohila, ex-Manager of BNM

*Justice Prevails: Bank Negara Malaysia's Unjust Dismissal Decision Overturned*

The Kuala Lumpur High Court has declared the termination of 48-year-old Y Kohila from her position as a manager at Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) unlawful. The court ruled that BNM's internal inquiry was unfair, as Kohila was not given sufficient time or access to relevant documents to prepare her defense. Furthermore, her request for an external lawyer and witnesses to testify was denied, depriving her of the right to be heard.

The court has scheduled April 29 to determine the amount of damages, including special, general, exemplary, and aggravated damages.

Kohila expressed her relief at the court's decision, recalling the embarrassment she felt when escorted out of BNM's premises. She described the ruling as a victory for workers' rights and a reminder that employers cannot arbitrarily dismiss employees or infringe on their constitutional rights.

Currently practicing as a lawyer, Kohila initiated legal action against BNM after her termination, challenging the allegations of misconduct related to her political activities. BNM had issued her a show cause letter in May 2017, citing her support for PSM and attendance at party-organized events as reasons for disciplinary action. Despite her appeal and subsequent lawsuit, BNM maintained that her actions violated employee conduct policies. Kohila, however, maintains that she did not breach any rules.

    1. Najib Razak received very special treatment in prison. Ustaz Wan Ji Wan Hussin who has just been released from Kajang prison (the prison where Najib was placed) told. Several times bumped into and caught a glimpse of Najib. Najib does not wear prison clothes and is free to move anywhere. He is like living in his own house. Several parties have requested an explanation from the prison department and the interior ministry. If Najib is free to move around in prison. So the motive of imprisonment to convert Najib will not be achieved. Najib is getting bigger when he is given a half amnesty and even his lawyer once said that Najib is innocent and does not need to go to jail, even for a day.

    2. Jana Wibawa case- Former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin requested a court review of the decision to cancel his release. On February 28, the appeals court overturned Muhyiddin's release and release when it reinstated charges of abuse of power against him linked to the Jana Wibawa program.

    3. The Premier of Sarawak claimed that PADU asked for too much personal information of the people. Therefore it causes public concern. According to Iswardy, the data requested by PADU is general information. In fact, the Sarawak/GPS government is worried that the wealth of their cronies will be exposed and fear that the real poverty data of Sarawak will be known. If this happens-the resurrection of the poor people will punish the GPS.

    -------------------------

    Iswardy Morni. Sarawak political analyst

*Public Unconcerned with Proper Registration, But GPS Cronies Fear Property Exposure*

Sarawak Premier Johari Openg said that the information requested by PADU was too detailed to cause public concern. That is why the Sarawak government has requested that the registration of PADU in Sarawak be postponed.

Iswardy questioned Johari's statement that PADU only asked for 9 basic information, namely basic information of the individual, household, address, job, education, income, commitment, assistance and finally the certificate. Padu asks for individual bank acc no so that cash aid can be credited directly to the aid recipient's account.

The government aid scheme has also asked for the acc number of the recipient. If this is questioned by the Sarawak government, SarawakPay also requests the same information. Why does the Sarawak government agree with SarawakPay's actions but oppose PADU?

In addition, according to Iswardy, PADU data is more comprehensive to determine if the aid recipient is really eligible. All this time with the old government system and data. There are rich individuals who receive government subsidies, on the other hand, many poor people do not get help. Whatever the actions of the Sarawak government. PADU registration in Sarawak is still encouraging and iswardy urges the public to register with PADU in the remaining 3 days. The Sarawak government should not worry too much because the representative of the Sarawak government/GPS is in the ministry of economy. Hanifah Hajar Taib is the deputy minister of economy. But GPS's concern is actually exposing the unusually large number of poor people in Sarawak.

The public is not worried about registering properly, only GPS cronies are worried about their property information being exposed. Even though they are rich, they still want to enjoy government subsidies.

    Mr. Laeng from Uma Akeh

*Costly Misstep: GPS Water Project Fails to Deliver Clean Water*

Residents of Long Suling longhouse are celebrating the completion of their clean water supply project. Spearheaded by Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau, the initiative received strong support from the state government, which allocated RM920,031 for the project's success. This project, which began in 2019, has not only benefitted Long Suling but has also improved water access in neighboring areas such as Kampung Long Puak, Uma Akeh, SK St Pius, Long Sayan, Long Latei, and Long Watt.

However, this success stands in contrast to Laeng's experience with a previous water project led by GPS two years ago. Laeng, from Uma Akeh criticized the project, which cost 500K, as a waste of public funds. He argued that the project's budget was excessive, considering that a 3 km pipeline from a mountain water source could have been more cost-effective with different materials. The water quality from the GPS project was poor, resembling Milo even during dry seasons. This substandard water quality also led to laundry issues, as white clothes would turn yellow when washed with the dirty water.

In contrast, before the GPS project, the longhouse had a water system funded by the federal government, which the villagers had successfully managed themselves. Despite the old pipes being in need of replacement, the water was clear, and the villagers were satisfied. The contrast between these two projects highlights the importance of effective resource allocation and community involvement in infrastructure projects.

*Buffalo Breeders Association Protests Detention of Cattle by Sime Darby's Kemuning Estate*

In a recent demonstration in front of the Kuala Kangsar City Council, the Buffalo Breeders Association voiced their protest against the detention of six cattle by the oil palm plantation of Kemuning Estate, owned by Sime Darby. These cattle belong to former estate workers, who are demanding fair treatment and housing.

The breeders allege that during a meeting organized by Sime Darby on February 28 in Sg Siput, involving four estates and 20 breeders, the plantation claimed to have zero cattle. However, the cattle in question are known to belong to former estate workers who have been in the area for three generations.

In the past, the companies encouraged these workers to raise cattle for additional income. This practice was supported by the government in the 1970s, as evidenced by the "green book" agreements between workers and companies. Despite this history, the workers were given only three months to clear their cattle, with restrictions on movement imposed in subsequent months.

The workers are now puzzled as to how their cattle ended up in the plantation's possession. The company is demanding RM1500 for each cattle, a sum the former workers, mostly B40 families, consider excessive. They are calling for the charges to be dropped, citing their longstanding contributions to the area's economy.

    1. The issue of socks with the word allah - The police ask the public to calm down and stop provocation. Bukit Aman criminal investigation department director- Mohd Shuhaily Zain said. The current situation is quite hot and tense. It is time for all parties to "Stand down" because all actions have been and are being taken by the authorities.

    2. Constitutional amendments related to citizenship issues. Making it even more difficult for the children of the indigenous people of the peninsula and the people of Sabah/Sarawak to obtain citizenship. Many natives even old still do not have citizenship/identification card. Thus when they marry a foreigner. Of course it is difficult for their children to get citizenship status. While they themselves have applied dozens of times for citizenship but were unsuccessful. This is their newborn child.

    3. The tactic of misusing diesel using earth moving lorries was exposed in Kuching. With information and complaints from the public - the police managed to arrest and impound a lorry loaded with diesel. Which is believed to be subsidized diesel. The truck had a lot of oil leakage which attracted the attention of road users on Jalan Kulas, Satok-Kuching. The public is asked to report any malversation of subsidized diesel.

Shaq Koyok, artist and activist from the Temuan tribe

*Identity Struggles: Shaq Koyok's Fight for Recognition*

Shaq Koyok comes from the village of Pulau Kempas in Selangor and has not had an identity card since birth. The government is proposing to amend Section (a) Part 2, Second Schedule of the federal constitution to no longer automatically grant citizenship to foreigners residing in the country.

Currently, anyone born in Malaysia with at least one parent who is a Malaysian citizen or a permanent resident in Malaysia automatically receives citizenship. The government plans to remove the term "permanent resident."

For Shaq, this proposed amendment is cruel and inhumane, as it would make our current difficult situation even more challenging. Currently, many indigenous people in Sabah, Sarawak, and the peninsula do not have identity cards or citizenship, which is a failure of the government. If a stateless native marries a foreigner, what will happen to their children's fate?

Shaq suggests that the government first solve the citizenship problem among the natives of the peninsula, Sabah, and Sarawak. For a long time, JAKOA (the Department of Aboriginal Affairs) has forbidden raising the issue of the lack of identity cards among indigenous people to avoid embarrassing the government.

However, Shaq, as an indigenous child without an identity card, has been denied the right to receive any help. During school, Shaq did not receive any government assistance due to not having an identity card. Shaq believes there is no need for this amendment. Instead, the government should focus on solving the citizenship problem among Malaysians.

Dr Micheal Teo, ex MP of Miri

    *Supporting PADU: Enhancing Aid Accessibility*

Dr. Teo doesn't understand why GPS keeps promoting the negativity of PADU. He stated that it is a system that allows the government to provide fair and comprehensive assistance to anyone in need.

He said that Anwar has always been people-oriented, putting the people first, so the introduction of PADU is to make the assistance system more convenient.

He urged the people of Sarawak to register for PADU so that they can receive support from the government promptly when assistance is distributed, rather than having to appeal and apply later.

    ---------------------

    (call-in) Mr. Robert from Bintulu

*GPS's Arrogance: Hindering Government Aid to the Poor*

Mr Robert feels angry about the arrogant attitude of GPS Sarawak which is hindering the poor from registering for PADU. Why should they incite the people when the YBs are already rich and surely afraid of their personal data being known by the government and unable to avoid paying taxes?

It is truly disappointing for a party that is part of the United Government not to respect the government system itself.

Currently, GPS is not focusing on eradicating poverty in Sarawak, and GPS has failed to address the issue of poverty in Sarawak. So why should they hinder the government from helping the people?

In Bintulu, almost every coffee shop is talking about the PADU issue, so Mr. Robert feels compelled to express his disappointment with GPS for oppressing the people by preventing the poor from being assisted by the MADANI government.

Nora Kantin, villager from Kampung Angkeh Gua Musang

*Orang Asli Group Seeks PM's Intervention Over Gua Musang Dam Project*

The Jaringan Kampung Orang Asli Kelantan (JKOAK) intends to bring up issues related to the hydroelectric dam project in Gua Musang to the attention of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

This step is planned after claiming to have received information that the project was approved silently several months after its cancellation was proposed by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment, and Climate Change Malaysia (MESTECC) in 2019.

The villagers were disappointed with the announced cancellation as the project had commenced in March last year and had now reached 40 percent of the construction phase.

Nora said that the community want the federal government to immediately investigate the approval of this project to the grassroots. Those mega projects like this have the potential to become a source for certain parties to gain profits and personal benefits.

His statement was read by a representative of JKOAK, who is also the Chief of the Indigenous Land of Pos Simpor, Mohd Syafiq Dendi, at a press conference at the Suara Rakyat Malaysia (SUARAM) office in Petaling Jaya today.

With the lead of JKOAK, Nora said they will also bring the matter to the MACC as they alleged that there are individuals seeking to profit from the project.

The dam involves a large cost, the future of the people, and serious effects on the environment, the way of life of the Orang Asli, and the destruction of the early civilization of the Orang Asli.

Dennis Along, Social and environmental activist

*GPS tried to confuse the people regarding Cascading Dam, Carbon Trading and PADU*

Dennis is on his way to the villages of Tutoh and Tinjar in Baram parliament. In an effort to provide information to the villagers regarding some of the latest issues. But according to Dennis in the many issues raised - there are 3 issues that are of concern and confuse rural residents. That is the issue of carbon trading, cascading dams and PADU. Rural residents are confused about whether or not to support carbon trading and whether they will benefit. In the law passed in the Sarawak State Assembly related to carbon trading. Ordinary people will not be paid if their land is used. PL will be issued by the state government to large companies. Just like in the matter of palm oil plantations and logging. But in this matter GPS sings that carbon trading will protect the environment and the people will be able to benefit. Related to Cascading dams GPS/Sarawak government said that cascading dams are not building dams or drowning rivers and villages. It is to build a waterfall that will be a tourist attraction, increase oxygen in the river and prevent the breeding of crocodiles. The people were persuaded to agree that their village and land be used for the cascading Dam. For registration and updating PADU. GPS acted aggressively by stopping all PADU registrants in Sarawak on the grounds of data security and not wanting their property ownership to be exposed. Dennis explained that only people who have extraordinary wealth that cannot explain their wealth are the only ones who bother to register with PADU. The failure of the people of Sarawak to understand the real issues of carbon trading, cascading dams and PADU. Showing that GPS failed to provide real information to help the people of Sarawak. GPS wants the Sarawak government to get a lot of money but the people remain poor - Dennis Along.

    Madam Agnes from Dijih

*Broken Promises: Decades Without Clean Water in Dijih Mukah*

Madam Agnes shared the issue of her community in Dijih Mukah facing insufficient water supply during the dry season.

She said that residents of longhouses have to go down to the river to bathe even though the river is polluted with waste from the Rimbunan Hijau palm oil mill, and the river water smells. She is disappointed that their longhouses have never had a water treatment supply from the government for decades.

Every election campaign, every candidate promises to connect clean water, but it's all empty promises. Along the road to Madam Agnes's longhouse, there are 17 longhouses facing the same fate of not having clean water supply, and the entire community has to buy drinking water from the market every day. But how long must they use their own money to buy drinking water when many cannot afford it due to low income?

Mr. Dee, a firefighter from Miri

*Miri's Air Quality Plunges: Peat Fires Engulf 21 Hectares*

The air quality in Miri, Sarawak, has significantly deteriorated due to peat fires within the district, resulting in fog-like conditions with strong odors. The fire and rescue department has advised the public, especially those with respiratory conditions, to stay indoors.

Approximately 21 hectares of peatland and forest have already been destroyed in the blaze, which is expected to spread further.

Mr. Dee, a firefighter from Miri, reported that a fire in Sg Adong, covering an area of over 20 hectares, is currently being actively extinguished. According to Mr. Dee, the land is owned by the company Naim. However, the cause of the fire has not been identified yet, as the dry season makes it easy for some areas to catch fire. Nevertheless, it appears suspicious that the fire was planned for future plantation opening, especially since only the Naim zone is affected by the fire.

    1. What is the trick of the Sarawak Government to delay the registration of PADU in Sarawak. Are you afraid of the revelation that the high poverty rate in Sarawak shows the failure of GPS to govern Sarawak. Or with the success of PADU, the people of Sarawak will benefit and support Anwar's administration and GPS will lose the election? YB Rafizi - the economy minister will meet the GPS government this week.

    2. Fake foreign worker agents manipulate Indonesians who come looking for work in Sarawak. Peter John revealed that these Indonesian workers were not cared for their welfare and were not given jobs and wages as promised. He asked to go through a legitimate employment agent.

    3. PMX support offer - It was actually Wan Saiful Wan Jan who asked for a bribe. Soleman, Residents of West Kalimantan

*Daughter Deceived into Work in Kuching: Father's Journey from Kalimantan to Rescue*

Soleman is from West Kalimantan, his journey to Kuching, Sarawak, began with a desperate quest to find his missing daughter, Sesilia Putri. His heart heavy with worry, he turned to his friend, Peter John Jaban, for help.

Soleman's search for his daughter started with a woman named Sendi, whom he had only known from Balai Ringin. Sendi had promised Sesilia a job at a coffee shop or restaurant in Kuching, with a monthly salary of RM1,500, accommodation, and meals provided. However, after arriving in Kuching, Sendi handed Sesilia over to an agent named Roni, who confiscated her passport and phone.

Sesilia managed to hide another phone and contacted her father, revealing that she was forced to work long hours as a housemaid without pay for three months, as her salary had been taken by the agent. She also expressed fear of working without a permit.

With this information in hand, Soleman bravely made a police report, detailing the deception and exploitation his daughter had faced. He provided crucial information, including the contact numbers of the agents involved, in the hope that the authorities would investigate and take action.

Soleman's determination to save his daughter from this unjust situation led him to Kuching, Sarawak, armed with his police report and a fervent hope for justice.

    ------------------

Peter John Jaban, Deputy president of the Global Human Right Federation (GHRF)

*Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery: The Dark Reality for Migrant Workers in Sarawak*

Peter reports that cases like those reported by Soleman often occur in Sarawak. Indonesian workers are promised high wages with attractive jobs in Sarawak Malaysia, but in the end they were sold from one agent to another. What GHRF can do is report the case to the police, immigration and even the Indonesian consulate in Kuching.

-For us at GHRF this is a case of manipulation of migrant workers, human trafficking and modern slavery. It is wrong in the law. I remind Indonesian workers who want to work in Malaysia to check with the consulate to ensure a valid employment agent. All personal documents are complete and have a work permit. Never come to work in Malaysia using a social visit pass. I will help Soleman to trace and bring his daughter back to Indonesia. - Said Peter John.

    ------------------

Wendy Dara, Sintang West Kalimantan Indonesia

*An Indonesian worker who was cheated by a fake employment agency in Sarawak*

Wendy Dara comes from Sintang, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. She entered Sarawak three weeks ago to work in a restaurant in the city of Kuching, with a starting salary of RM1500. An employee agent named Cindy is responsible for placing several employees at different job locations. A problem arose for Wendy Dara when she was not eligible to work in a restaurant because she did not have a passport. While at the beginning when brought in it was said that it was not necessary to use a passport and work permit to work in Sarawak, Malaysia. Then this agent placed Wendy in several workplaces such as taking care of the elderly, taking care of children, or becoming a social worker. But the job that was offered was not what was promised at the beginning. Some conditions are imposed by the agent, such as not being able to use the telephone, not being able to hold cash (salary directly credited to the account), and having to work for at least 2 years before being allowed to go home.

    - I realize that I have been cheated by some employment agents based in Sarawak. I'm stuck looking for a way to return to Sintang, Indonesia because I don't have a passport – Wendy Dara said.

    ------------------

Sivaranjani Manickam, National Workers Bureau Coordinator, Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM)

*Voices of the Vulnerable: Bangladeshi Workers Speak Out Against Exploitation*

Recently, three Bangladeshi workers were arrested last Friday under the pretense of a quarrel among themselves. However, the real issue stems from the exploitation of over 160 workers brought to Malaysia last October by Beak Construction Company. These workers were promised jobs, salaries, and accommodation, but to date, they have received none of these. Instead, they have been living in terrible conditions for the past seven months, with inadequate food and overcrowded accommodations.

Upon realizing their predicament, the workers contacted PSM and other NGOs for help. PSM assisted around 50 workers in lodging a police report against the employer who was holding their passports. They also sought assistance from the Labour Department to claim their unpaid salaries.

In an attempt to suppress the workers and deter them from pursuing their rights, the employer orchestrated a confrontation among the workers and then surrendered three of them to the police. This action was intended to intimidate the remaining workers.

It is crucial to note that withholding workers' passports is illegal under the Immigration Act and constitutes a criminal offense. Despite PSM lodging a police report on 12 March, the employer has not been arrested, highlighting a double standard in law enforcement.

PSM urges the authorities to release the three Bangladeshi workers, as they have no legitimate case against them. The government must take proactive measures to protect vulnerable migrant workers and hold irresponsible employers accountable. This includes setting up a task force to address issues of exploitation and abuse of migrant workers.

    ------------------

    Mr. Nichol from Kuching

*The PADU Puzzle: GPS Government's Rejection and Its Impact on Sarawakians*

Mr. Nichol explained that it is detrimental to every citizen if they do not want to register with PADU. Why should they be afraid to fill it in if they really want to receive government assistance?

He has tried to convince many people not to hesitate about PADU. The Sarawak government does not instruct its people to fill out PADU because they have things they are hiding from the federal government.

Lately, the people have been frightened by GPS that the information in PADU is like exposing themselves, but Mr. Nichol firmly states that GPS actually does not want it to be known that all the funds from the federa government have not really been distributed to the people, meaning that GPS has been misusing the federal government's finances. Indeed, GPS members will not fill out PADU because they are afraid their wealth will be known. The MADANI government is doing its utmost to help the people, but GPS's instigation has frightened the people.

    3. Today GPS Sarawak expressed its open objection to the implementation of the Main Database System (PADU). According to Minister Karim Rahman Hamzah. Padu violates privacy, data security and exposes the information of registered citizens. In fact, GPS is worried about their failure to govern Sarawak to the extent that the majority of Sarawak residents are still poor. PADU exposes the hypocracy of GPS. According to the economy minister. There is no compulsion to register with PADU but don't anger the government if your name falls off the list of aid recipients.

    ----------------------

Iswardy Morni, Activist and Sarawak political analyst

*Unveiling Sarawak's Poverty: The GPS Objection to PADU*

Today, Sarawak's political leaders began protesting the Main Data Base System (PADU) launched by PMX Anwar Ibrahim at the beginning of January 2024.

According to Sarawak's tourism, creative industries and performing arts minister - Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah - When you register in the integrated system, this means you are exposing yourself.

The GPS government requested that PADU be reviewed, and changes made. Karim mentioned that the government should respect the privacy of the people and there is no need to develop PADU because there is already ekasih data. Today, an official memo from Sri Aman Residents asking for PADU registration to be stopped in the entire Sri Aman Division went viral on social media. YBs GPS Sarawak in their respective whatsapp groups asked the people not to register with PADU.

For Iswardy, the real reason GPS objected to PADU was because they did not want Sarawak's real poverty data to be exposed. The latest data in PADU shows that many Sarawakians are registering. Many poor people are registered and many will get government assistance. In terms of "people's welfare" this is good, but GPS leaders are worried that their weaknesses in governing the state of Sarawak all this time will be exposed. With the high revenue and budget, why are there so many poor people in Sarawak?

Regarding data security, the Sarawak government pioneered several initiatives such as SarawakPay, Kenyalang GoldCad and Ekasih, all these platforms store the data of Sarawak residents. In fact it is operated by a third party/private. Why is data security not an issue? Is it because it is run by the Sarawak state government?

Iswardy ask the Sarawak government to have the courage to face reality, that the majority of the people of Sarawak are poor and deserve help. Don't interpret everything through political and election perspectives only.

    ----------------------

Thomas Jalong, environmental activist from Ulu Baram

*The Environmental Crime Surge: Addressing Illegal Logging*

Minister of Natural Resources and Sustainable Environment, Nik Nazmi, stated in parliament that environmental crimes in court appeared to be increasing, with 409 cases last year compared to 289 cases in 2019. He listed several issues, including illegal logging, which has various impacts.

Thomas believes that encroachment into the forest is a crime, meaning that whoever encroaches into the forest, especially companies or individuals, regardless of whether it is a reserve forest or community-protected forest, is committing a crime according to the Forest Ordinance. Illegal logging should not be conducted in these areas without consultation or consent from the community. Indigenous people have long understood the importance of forests to our livelihoods. It is only now that we are hearing about the impacts of climate change and other negative effects, such as the lack of important natural resources to sustain our lives. Indigenous people know how to manage the forest sustainably. However, enforcement or state governments often do not provide legal support for the practices of indigenous people who want to continue protecting forest areas that are crucial not only for the local community but also for the state and global purposes.

Thomas said that, with this, they wish to emphasize that when they are protecting our forests, they should not be labeled as anti-development. In fact, who is truly anti-development? Those who are destroying the forests are the ones against development.

    ----------------------

Abun Sui, Senator of PKR Sarawak

*Lack of GPS Government Aid in Flood-Affected Sarawak Villages*

Abun Sui raised concerns about the lack of government aid to two remote villages in Sarawak, despite being repeatedly hit by floods this year. He highlighted that villages like Long Busang and Long Kajang in Belaga, Sarawak, have not received flood assistance, as their representatives have complained. Abun urged the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) and the Social Welfare Department to address this issue promptly and provide assistance to the affected villages.

Abun Sui also urged that the GPS government would shoulder its responsibility and not solely rely on the federal government because the Sarawak state government itself has more than enough financial resources to assist its own people.

    ----------------------

Oscar Ling, DAP MP of Sibu

*Balancing Development: Oscar Ling Calls for Fair Allocation of Resources by GPS goverment*

Sibu MP Oscar Ling Service Centre is organizing a special subsidised food programme near SK Rantau Panjang on March 23, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. A total of 200 packs of subsidised food items will be available for RM10 per set. Each set includes instant noodles, biscuits, flour, 2kg of white rice, sugar, and a packet of cooking oil.

According to Ling, each household is limited to one set, and distribution will be on a first-come-first-served basis. This programme is a joint initiative with the Federal Agricultural Marketing Agency (Fama) and aims to help reduce the financial burden on the people. Ling encourages the public to come early to enjoy discounts and attractive promotions.

Oscar Ling stated that the economic downturn is not just a problem in Malaysia, but a global issue. Therefore, the monthly provision of aid is part of the support program in line with the Madani government to help people cope with the difficulties of rising prices.

However, Oscar Ling pointed out that despite GPS's annual development budget reaching billions, the current focus is only on areas like Kuching, Miri, and Bintulu. On the contrary, other areas such as Sibu, Kapit, and Kenowit are marginalized and also need the state government's focus and development.

He noted that many outskirts of towns are facing the plight of being ignored, which has led to a continuous decline in economic development in these areas, making life increasingly difficult for the people there. Therefore, he urged the state government to pay attention to the welfare of all Sarawakians and to distribute development opportunities and resources evenly across the state to achieve balanced development.

    1. Voon Lee Shan urged the Sarawak Advovate Association to file a judicial review against the appointment of the new TYT Sarawak Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar which he described as not in accordance with the Sarawak constitution.

    2. By-elections in the Kuala Kubu Bharu state assembly in Selangor following the death of the local representative Lee Kee Hiong (DAP). Lee died of cancer.

    3. Former UMNO Information Chief Isham Jalil made a police report at the Dang Wangi Police Station claiming that Farhash Wafa Salvador (former assistant to Anwar Ibrahim) may have misused his power and misbehaved. Isham said he would make another report to MACC. Isham claimed that Farshash made an investment of RM40 million in Syarikat Hei Tech PADU Bhd. A company shortlisted for a government immigration system contract. According to Isham, government contracts worth more than RM50 million must go through the finance ministry, where Anwar is the minister, and Immigration under the Ministry of Home Affairs, whose minister is Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. Both of these ministers are from the PKR. For the record, PMX Anwar Ibrahim's administration is actively cleaning Malaysia from corruption and abuse of power.

*Decades-Long Issue: Why is Sarawak Spending Money on Container Clinics?*

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has approved RM951,200 to purchase and modify high cube containers for use as an interim clinic in Long Lama, Baram. In a written reply to a question raised by Baram MP Datuk Anyi Ngau in the Parliament recently, MoH said that the project is expected to take at least six months to be completed and will kick off as soon as the process to acquire the site is completed.

This decision comes after longstanding issues with the clinic's facilities, dating back 20 to 30 years. Initially, the clinic was a wooden structure on the riverbank, but it has since fallen into disrepair, with the old site eroded and abandoned.

Paul Wan from Long Lama comment that, despite the need for repairs, the old clinic site has remained untouched. Instead, the clinic was relocated across the river, where only staff quarters were built, leaving the community without a proper clinic. For the past five years, the Long Lama clinic has been operating out of the Long Lama Community Hall, causing inconvenience during events held there.

The Sarawak government has previously expressed self-reliance, yet the lack of action on the clinic issue raises questions. The old clinic, established in the 1960s-80s, should have been upgraded to a hospital, given Long Lama's importance as the central area of Baram. The area relies heavily on the old road, and with the completion of the Sabah/Sarawak link road, Long Lama is set to become a central point between the two states.

However, instead of addressing these pressing needs, the government's focus seems misplaced. There are concerns that the decision to use containers for the clinic is a temporary solution, indicating a lack of long-term planning. Furthermore, plans to build a DAM to control river flow raise suspicions of land grabbing under the guise of development.

Paul emphasize that, The people of Sarawak deserve better, and it is time for action to address these longstanding issues.

*Judicial Review Sought for Appointment of Sarawak TYT*

On 17 March 2024, the Majority (238 in favor/1 against) of the members of the Malaysian Bar agreed that a judicial review be filed against the reduction of former prime minister Najib Razak's sentence. For Voon- it is clear that Malaysia is a country of "constitutional kings" where the king has no absolute power. When this matter is brought to court, the public will know how the Board of Pardons advised His Majesty the King/King and whether His Majesty the King/King followed their advice.

Basically, the people need to be informed that the decision-making process is transparent and institutionalized.

Likewise with the appointment of the new TYT Sarawak - Voon think that there is a violation of the Sarawak constitution. According to the Sarawak constitution, the proposal of the TYT candidate should be brought in the Sarawak state assembly meeting first. After being approved, it is presented to the Agong/King.

But in the case of the appointment of TYT Sarawak Tun Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, there was no discussion in the Sarawak State Assembly and the name of the prospective TYT was sent directly to the Agong. In this matter, Voon think that Sarawak Advocates Association should dare to use judicial review and then correct past mistakes. While the appointment of senators from Sarawak will be discussed in the Sarawak state assembly first. This is also a much more important post like TYT.

*Empowering Penan Unity: Addressing Internal Regulations and Rights*

Dayak Daily reported that the Penan village of Sedin Laeng in Data Bila has established rules to regulate visits to a tourism attraction in Ulu Baram, citing them as part of their local Penan rights.

Nick Kelesau commented on a statement by Daud Sedin from Data Bila, which he found concerning for the Penan community. Daud Sedin suggested that even if the Agong were to visit the Tekiwit waterfall, a fee would be required. This approach of creating and enforcing their own regulations appears to be aimed at personal benefit, as it involves charging fees to all tourists wishing to visit the Tekiwit waterfall. It is important to note that Daud Sedin cannot unilaterally create laws, and it is essential to consider the well-being of all community members. Such actions may give the impression of living without governance. It would be more beneficial for the Penan community to make decisions that align with the common good, ensuring unity among all Penan, including the Penan or Punan, in the future.
